Australia I hear is a very dangerous place to move to, in fact you take your life into your own hands moving to here to live. Utter rubbish! Where I live I can walk in any direction and be in this dangerous environment but I so far have survived. *grins* Why? Whether I am in the garden working, down at the beach, or in the Aussie bush I dress appropriately. In the bush or out in the garden it is very wise to cover up from foot to head. Heavy socks, shoes and long pants secured inside the shoe is another safe guard against creatures like the funnel web as I have made it harder for them to bite me with their deadly venom. Heavy working gloves in the garden is a very good idea as this also helps keep these at bay. At the beach always slip, slap and slop and ALWAYS swim between the flags at patrolled beaches, beaches that are not patrolled is not a good idea for you to go swimming on your own. If you see the sand strewn with these stranded blue jelly type things called 'blue bottles' it is a very good idea to put shoes on. *lol* Their sting is unbelievable! Living 'downunder' is an experience to be had by all and taking the advice I have left here you will have a safe and wonderful time. So why are you still sitting there reading this? When you booking that flight? If you are intending a trip to 'downunder' please keep this number handy in case you do need it 13 11 26 it is a 24 hour service for help and information on bites and poisons.
