Why do Southern Hemisphere Cyclones go clockwise and the Northern Hemisphere Hurricans go anti-clockwise.
Answer; Simple answer it's the way low pressure systems rotate.
What season is it in the Southern Hemisphere?
Answer; During June, July and August, the northern hemisphere is exposed to more direct sunlight because the northern hemisphere faces the sun. The same is true of the southern hemisphere in December, January, and February.
And no the seasons are not the result because you or I depending whose summer it is closer to the Sun. It is because the tilt of the Earth causes the Sun to be higher in the sky during the summer months which increases the solar flux. Therefore tis why one (not mentioning names here *grins*) has had her daylight hours stolen.

Does Australia have snow?
Answer; Yes!
Seriously now, the eastern seaboard from QLD down to Tasmania can have snow dumps. Even where I live one year we had snow, normally though it is places like Armidale, Blue Mountains, Orange, Lithgow that are the snow areas.
The Snowy Mountains and Tasmania are snowed on every year in our winter months. This LINK will take you to the official Snowy Mountains web-site. Click HERE to see a photo of Tasmania in snow.
