Before the news hit the world about the Victorian bush-fires QLD was well under way with their own natural disaster. Two thirds of QLD have been affected by flooding rains that has left 36 councils declaring natural disasters. Much of the sugar crop seems to be at this time destroyed and stock losses at this time has no number. Ingham has been one of the worst affected by being hit twice with severe flooding. Much of business, industry and infrastructure have been severely affected by destructive flooding rains.

This has been the longest and largest and most severe flooding in living memory. At this time there is not much that can be done till the waters recede.
